Psychology Works — when delivered effectively.
I spent over two decades as a Senior Psychologist and Inspector with the Health and Safety Authority (HSA), leading national strategies on psychosocial risk, workplace bullying, and organisational wellbeing. I worked directly with employers, regulators, and government bodies across Ireland and Europe.
Now, I work independently — and more closely — with clients nationally and internationally who want to create more functional, safer and healthier workplaces. I hold a Master’s in Psychoanalysis, an MSc in Organisational Behaviour, and a Diploma in Corporate Governance, giving me both psychological and legal insight into how people and systems behave.
I care deeply about doing good work and delivering results — and helping others do the same.

Psychology Works
My services are all psychology-led and developed to improve employee wellbeing, enhance mental health, job satisfaction, and performance. Tick box ‘training’ doesn’t deliver and often makes people more miserable. With valid assessment, and an analysis of the issues, good design of tailored training sessions which focus on real behavioural shifts will, over time and with reinforcement systems, bring results.
Why?
Increased productivity
People in teams who understand and appreciate each other, work better together. Teams in which everyone shares the same understanding of who does what, and why, respect each other more. Underlying, unspoken issues cause surface problems, which only escalate unless treated.
Better decision-making
Understanding yourself, your biases and motivators, the cause and effect of your actions and patterns of doing, makes you think better before you say yes or no. Knowledge alone is not enough, understanding how to use it, is.
Enhanced culture and brand
Demonstrating a commitment to, and high level appreciation of individuals is a must today. New recruits want to see their employer invest in them, up front. All acts of employee empowerment and upskilling in the so-called soft skills is a statement of intent, employers of choice will be signed up to this philosophy already. However, they deliver on the promise with professional qualified experts.
